Q.   How far in advance do I need to hire an entertainer?
A.   Once you know what type of entertainment you need it is always best to have a contract on them as soon possible. Holiday entertainment is best contracted 6 to 12 months in advance of your date. Octoberfest entertainers should be booked by January. St. Patrick's Day entertainment should be booked by October. Entertainers for July 4th should be booked in January.
Q.   How much does it cost to hire an entertainer?
A.   The cost of entertainment can vary for a variety of reasons. For example, a music group with six members will charge more than a four-piece group. The length of time an entertainer is asked to perform also determines their fee. A distant performance venue will also add cost.
Q.   How do I know that these entertainers are good? How is that determined?
A.   All entertainers have been personally pre-screened by Alexandra Entertainment Connection (AEC) before ever being booked.
Q.   Once I decide on an entertainer what do I do next?
A.   A contract is drawn up between you and AEC. All of the details of your event, date, time, location, length of time, any specials instructions, are included in this document and sent to you and the entertainer. Most often a 50% non-refundable deposit is required with a signed contract in 10 to 15 days.
Q.   What if we have to change something on the contract like the length of time, location, etc.? How is that handled?
A.   Sometimes situations come up where changes must be made to the contract. It is best to notify AEC as soon as these changes occur. In most cases things can be worked out to satisfy these needs.
Q.   What if I just don't know what to choose? Can someone offer suggestions?
A.   AEC is always available to make suggestions to you. They have worked with a wide variety of events and can suggest things for you to consider.
Q.   Once my event is over and I really like the entertainment I've chosen whom can I tell?
A.   It is always great to receive letters from happy clients telling how much they enjoyed their entertainment. Write a letter and send it to AEC. The entertainers will also receive a copy of this letter.
